In efforts to prepare for RAAM, Kathy competed in the Barry Roubaix, a 65 mile dirt race. She chose this race knowing of the challenging charecteristics of both the coarse and also being an early season race. Kathy bike of choice was her old school mountain bike, a Bontrager Privateer comp single speed, with a 40x16 gear. Adding even more of a challenge to the race. She was happy with her time of 4:25 hours and 4th in overall female. This being quite the acomplishment considering many racers had multi geared cyclocross bikes. Be sure to check back for future race updates, thanks for reading!
